THIS VICTORIA'S SECRET RUNWAY LOOK FEATURES

THIS VICTORIA'S SECRET RUNWAY LOOK FEATURES

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show won't hit our televisions until December 5, but that doesn't mean we can't obsess over the outfits for a good month first. On Wednesday, Victoria's Secret Angel Josephine Skriver shared a sneak peek of the dazzling, crystallized look that will grace us with presence during the highly anticipated runway show.

The getup features a delicate crop top overlay adorned with 450,000 crystals and 3,000 strands of Swarovski crystal fringe. To achieve this detailed look, each fringed strand takes about 12 minutes to thread, and each sleeve weighs eight to 10 pounds. (Yeah, bling is heavy.

And to top off the look, the super model also sports a pair of crystal-embellished, sheer over-the-knee Brian Atwood boots, created with 1,630 crystals. Skriver will walk the runway during the fashion show's "Bright Night Angel" section. So far, 52 models are confirmed to walk in 82 different looks.

Skriver, who had her fitting on Tuesday, said in a statement that she's excited to wear the sparkly look and plans to never take it off. "I am just going to wear this 24/7 in Paris and sparkle like this every day," she said. That is, if she can walk that much while wearing pounds and pounds of crystals

DELFINA DELETTREZ RETURNS TO FENDI

      DELFINA DELETTRE            RETURNS TO FENDI

Delfina Delettrez Fendi has created her own highly successful bijoux brand, but the designer knows where her roots lie. Delettrez Fendi is making her return to the family business with a design collaboration on a timepiece that finds the perfect place between watch and jewelry. The collection is named Policromia (the Greek words poly meaning multiple and khrôma or colors) and is inspired by Fendi's hometown of Rome and the magnetic energy—and perfect light—its famous for.

The mix of layers of diamonds, mother of pearl, and malachite or lapis lazuli is reflective of the arches of Palazzo Della Civiltà Italiana, the Fendi Headquarters in Rome. Finished with swiss-made movement, diamond bezel, genuine alligator straps handmade in the Roman Maison's ateliers in Italy, and finished with 18 kt gold buckles—this watch ticks all of the luxury boxes, but like the city of Rome itself, it's really more about how it makes you feel.

WHY GIGI HADID'S BODY WAS COVERED UP ON THE TOMMY HILFIGER RUNWAY

WHY GIGI HADID'S BODY WAS COVERED UP ON THE TOMMY HILFIGER RUNWAY

In a new interview, designer Tommy Hilfiger told Yahoo! Style that when Gigi Hadid first walked his fall 2015 show, the team didn't put her in any skin-baring looks because she didn't "fit."
"Our casting director said, 'She doesn't really fit because, you know, she's not quite as tall as the other girls. She's not quite as thin.' So they put a red, white, and blue poncho on her. It covered a lot of her body, unfortunately
Hilfiger, who describes Hadid as an "all-American girl next door with an exotic twist to her look," realized quickly she was popular—and there was a business opportunity to take from it. She and her poncho look "received millions of hits so I said you know, 'Why don't we ask her to design a line with us?' So I said, 'Gigi, come design this with me. We'll do a Gigi-Tommy Hilfiger line.'"
That she did. She also walked Hilfiger's show the next season, where she wore a bikini on the runway:
Hadid herself has been open about her experience of being body-shamed in the fashion industry. "No, I don't have the same body type as the other models in shows," she wrote on an Instagram post published in September 2015.
"You can make up all the reasons you think I am where I am, but really, I'm a hard worker that's confident in myself, one that came at a time where the fashion industry was ready for a change…I represent a body image that wasn't accepted in high-fashion before….Yes, I have boobs, I have abs, I have a butt, I have thighs, but I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm fitting into the sample size
When commenters speculated that she had lost weight to fit in with the other models, Hadid debunked the rumor this August. "Yes, I've lost some 'baby fat,' but muscle mass from my intensive volleyball training in high school has changed over the years into lean muscle from boxing and work stress can have its affect [sic], naturally, but purposefully changing my body has never been my thing," she commented on Instagram.Update: Tommy Hilfiger has released a statement clarifying the interview: "Gigi is truly the definition of a 'Tommy Girl' – her magnetic personality is bright, confident and always optimistic," the designer said. "I've known her for many years, and am extremely proud to have her as the ambassador of my brand and as a collaborator of our collections. Any statement to the contrary is completely false. The headline from the interview with Yahoo was misleading and has since been corrected."
He also told Page Six: "The casting people put Gigi in the poncho, and I was not happy. I was saying, 'Don't hide her body.' Even though the poncho ended up being the best-selling piece, I was very unhappy. The suggestion that I thought she wasn't thin enough upsets me to no end. Gigi is the epitome of perfection."
